CHANGE: The Certificate on Humans and the Global Environment
University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty working on issues of vulnerability and sustainability of the global environment were awarded an IGERT (Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship) grant from the National Science Foundation. The grant supported the creation of a graduate Certificate on Humans and the Global Environment (CHANGE). The CHANGE program involves faculty members in departments ranging across atmospheric and oceanic sciences, ecology, environmental studies, veterinary medicine, and sociology. The links on this page can tell you more about this graduate program.
Our generous NSF-IGERT funding established a fellowship that supported 21 new PhD students. The Fellowship Program is now closed since we have recruited our last funded cohort of CHANGE-IGERT Fellows. The CHANGE graduate program, however, is ongoing. New CHANGE students are enrolled each Fall semester
